Three seismologists from Munich Geophysics, Dr. Karin Sigloch and PhD students Kasra Hosseini Zad and Simon Stähler, currently participate on a research cruise in the South Atlantic.

Greetings from the South Atlantic. Aboard the ship MERIAN, Simon, Kasra, and I are working hard as
research assistants of the AWI ocean-bottom seismometry group. This is one of the SAMPLE cruises,
i.e. research funded under the umbrella of the DFG priority programme that Peter Bunge is heading.
The cruise organisors from Kiel initiated a daily blog for outreach to the wider public.
