75 years of Earth Monitoring at the Geophysical Observatory Fuerstenfeldbruck (1939-2014)

A celebration at the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Geophysical Observatory Fuerstenfeldbruck will be held at Fuerstenfeldbruck on Oct 10th, 2014.

A celebration at the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Munich Geophysical Observatory at Fuerstenfeldbruck will be held at Fuerstenfeld on Oct 10th, 2014.

The event will commence at 10:30 am on Oct 10 in Fuerstenfeldbruck:

Greetings will be delivered by Professors Gilder (Magnetism) and Igel (Seismology), the Dean of the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences (Professor Ludwig), the director of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (Professor Dingwell), the president of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences (Professor Hoffmann), as well as the Head of the County of Fuerstenfeldbruck.

Scientific keynote lectures are delivered by Professors Soffel (LMU Munich), Courtillot (IGP Paris) and Tanimoto (UC Santa Barbara).

The event is expected to conclude at 3pm, after a short tour through the Obervatory.
